WHAT IS WIC? WIC
is a nutrition program that helps pregnant women, new mothers,
and young children eat well, learn about nutrition, and stay healthy. What
does WIC provide? Nutritious

about food and nutrition Breastfeeding
information and support Diet
assessments Height
and weight assessments Iron
screenings Information
about other community resources Who is eligible for WIC? WIC
serves pregnant women, breastfeeding women, postpartum women, infants,
and children up to the age of five. To
qualify, participants must meet the income guidelines and have a
nutritional need. This
is determined at your local WIC office. MANY WORKING FAMILIES QUALIFY FOR WIC!! HOW TO APPLY: Call

If you will need language or sign language interpreter or other accommodation please let WIC staff know in advance.
AT THE END OF YOUR
APPOINTMENT…. If
you qualify, you will be given WIC checks for nutritious foods.
You will be given a list of grocery stores where you can cash
your checks for WIC approved foods, and a list of WIC approved foods for
your information. Once
enrolled, Infants
can receive WIC through their first year. (Then they can re-enrolled at
one year as children) Out
