The
Education and Transportation of Handicapped Children Program
is a Federal and State mandated program that provides appropriate
therapeutic and educational services for children three to five years of
age. To qualify for services the child’s disability must impact on
their educational learning. Eligibility is determined through a
multi-disciplinary evaluation process and services are approved based
upon the needs of the child as recommended by their Educational
services that may be approved include speech, physical, and occupational
therapies, special education itinerant teachers and special education classroom
programs. To refer a child for Preschool Special Education Services, a
family should contact their school district and ask for the Committee on
Preschool Special Education Chairperson. |

Program

Children with Special Health Care Needs is a referral program for children birth to 21 years of age who have or are suspected of having a serious or chronic physical, developmental, behavioral or emotional condition that requires health and related services beyond that required by children generally. SERVICES
Physically Handicapped Children's Program can assist in payment for certain medical services for eligible children birth to 21 years of age. Must meet medical and financial eligibility criteria to qualify for financial assistance. Some of the conditions covered include:
