Project Description:

The Village of Prospect and the Prospect Neighborhood Beautification Committee will utilize funding to complete the Union Park project. The park features will include:

• Viewing platform for falls/basin scenic overlook
• Protected display kiosks on viewing platform that feature historic village photographs
• Adirondack style timber archway leading to the viewing platform
• Centered focal point to include a summer water fountain and neighborhood Christmas tree placed in winter months
• Bronze or engraved granite stone at park center that identifies the historic site
• Paver stone entrance way and sidewalk leading to fountain and viewing platform
• Limestone columns anchoring the park entrance
• Tall bird houses similar to those in historic photos
• Limestone hitching posts connected with chain to line perimeter of park
• A combination of conifers, broad leaf, annuals, and perennial plants and flowers
• Seating alcoves
• Cast iron style lighting posts
• ADA handicapped accessible
