Genesee Oneida Housing Opportunities, Inc. (GOHO) will utilize funding to grade and landscape the vacant 4,640 square feet lot at the northeast corner of James and Oneida Streets in the Mayfield Neighborhood of the City of Utica.

The proposed project will accomplish the following:

1) removal and regrading of the existing four inches of topsoil;

2) application of four inches of freshly sifted topsoil;

3) creation of a simple greenspace/park with paths and easy to maintain lawn, trees, and shrubbery, according to the attached plan provided by Gardenhouse Landscape; and

4) replacement of the existing sidewalks (on the lot) along Oneida and James Streets.

The work will be scheduled for the summer of 2000.

GOHO and Housing Visions of Syracuse, partner of GOHO in the Mayfield project, will hire the contractor(s) to perform the proposed work and oversee it. GOHO and Housing Visions, along with the Mayfield Tenant Association, will be responsible for the maintenance following project completion.
