EANNACE ANNOUNCES CORNELL COOPERATIVE EXTENSION AND 4-H WEEK

Oneida County Executive Ralph J. Eannace Jr. announced September 30 to October 5, 2000 Cornell Cooperative Extension week in conjunction with the State's initiative and National 4-H week. This year's theme is "Strengthening the Economic and Social Vitality of Communities."

"Cornell Cooperative Extension and 4-H are dedicated to our efforts to positively impact the economic and social vitality of our communities," Eannace said. "We're excited to highlight and hear about the programs they offer through tours, exhibits and other community events this week and encourage the community to get involved." There will be an open house Thursday, October 5, 2000 between 1 p.m. and 7 p.m. at the Farm and Home Center, CCE's headquarters, on Second Street in Oriskany, NY.

CCE provides education for agricultural producers and rural business owners, local government officials and child care providers, as well as workforce development for adults and for youth through the 4-H outreach programs and a rural economic vitality program.
