Griffo: Applebee’s Names Oneida County
Employer of the Month for August

Oneida County Executive Joseph A. Griffo today thanks Applebee’s Restaurant for its selection of Oneida County as Employer of the Month for August, entitling all Oneida County employees to a 10% discount.

“The men and women who work for Oneida County deserve a break and a reward for the hard work they put in day in and day out,” Griffo said. “Because so much of county government’s business deals with public safety and social services, our employees deal with a number of difficult situations. Day in and day out, they exhibit great professionalism and also great creativity when it comes to solving problems. I appreciate Applebee’s giving the people who work for the county this break. I think it’s a great way to recognize hard-working people, and I thank them for thinking of them.”

“August is a great time to get away from the house for a meal at Applebee’s. Whether it’s just a chance to beat the heat, take the kids out before they go to college, or unwind after a day of back-to-school shopping, everyone can appreciate a meal at Applebee’s,” said Deb Shultis, Applebee’s Director of Operations in the Mohawk Valley. “Applebee’s knows that all across the region, there are people who deserve a night out. Every month, we designate an employer whose employees can receive this special opportunity, and we are glad to recognize the men and women of county government.”

Participating restaurants include the Utica, Rome, New Hartford and Herkimer locations. To receive the discount, County Government employees must present proper identification at the time of service.
