Griffo: Veterans’ Service Agency’s Rome Office
Closing for Two Days as Part of Move to VA Clinic

Oneida County Executive Joseph A. Griffo today announced that the Oneida County Veterans’ Service Agency’s Rome office will be closing two days next week so that all files and office equipment can be transferred to the new site in the Donald J. Mitchell VA Outpatient Clinic at Griffiss Business and Technology Park.

Griffo said that the office will be closed for services on Thursday, Nov. 30th and Friday, December 1st. He said that the office will be open to serve veterans and their families on Monday, December 4th.

“Because of my close involvement with our local veterans and their families, I know how important it is to them to have a convenient location to access services and that’s why I have worked hard to support this move,” said Oneida County Legislator Patricia Hudak. (D-29) “Shifting the office into the VA Clinic will help our veterans by providing easier access to our Oneida County staff so that we can do even more to help them with any needs they have.”

“Relocating the Oneida County Veterans’ Service Agency’s Rome office will provide expanded availability to our services and a more convenient location in terms of parking and access,” Griffo said. “The move will be done swiftly to cause minimal disruption in services.”

Griffo said Oneida County veterans and their families who need services on Thursday, November 30th, or Friday, December 1st, should contact the Utica office of the Oneida County Veterans’ Service Agency at 798-5830.
