Oneida County Executive Anthony J. Picente, Jr. today announced that on March 5th, state and county officials will be presenting details about an upcoming $2 million highway rehabilitation project on Judd Road in the Town of Whitestown . The project will involve pavement rehabilitation in a section of Judd Road from Halsey Road to the New York State Thruway Bridge .

Picente said on March 5, officials from the New York State Department of Transportation (NYSDOT) and the Oneida County Department of Public Works (OCDPW) will make two presentations on the project:

  • From 6:30 to 7 p.m., state and county officials will be on hand for an informal discussion of the project and to answer questions.
  • During the formal Whitestown Town Board meeting that follows, state and county officials will be making a formal presentation to the Town Board.

Both presentations will take place at the Town Community Center on Westmoreland Road , Whitesboro.

The proposed project consists of pavement rehabilitation from the northern limit of the State Route 840 project north to the bridge carrying Judd Road over the NYS Thruway.  Work will also include minor intersection improvements to the Judd/Westmoreland Road intersection. The project is tentatively scheduled for competitive bidding this spring with construction to follow in the summer or fall of 2008, with substantial completion by November 2008.

Residents with questions concerning the project should contact the Oneida County Department of Public Works.
