2000 Senior Citizen of the Year

Each year the Office for Aging Council’s Older American Awards Committee selects an outstanding senior to be recognized as Oneida County Senior Citizen of the Year for their all-around service or for a singular outstanding contribution to our community.

2000 Good Neighbor Award

This award is given to a senior citizen who exhibits the qualities of caring and compassion for people in the community.

2000 Physical Fitness Award

The Physical Fitness Award is given to a senior citizen or group who leads an active life and who sets an example for people of all ages in the area of physical fitness.

2000 Exceptional Staff Award

This award honors an individual in the field of gerontology/aging who shows exceptional dedication and commitment to serving older people.

2000 Business Support Award

The Business Support Award honors a company or business that has made an outstanding contribution to increase the availability of support services to older persons in Oneida County.

2000 Community Service Award

The Community Service Award is presented to a person or group of any age who have served our community elders in a volunteer capacity and who have improved the quality of life for older people

2000 Caregiver of the year

Caregiver of the year is a person who has served our community elders in a volunteer capacity and who has improved the quality of life for older people.

2000 HOME CARE WORKER

This award honors an individual professional who provides home health care to seniors. The individual should be a personal care aide, home health aide or nurse.

Nursing Staff Award

An individual who works in an elder care facility who has made significant contributions.

2000 Senior Agency Staff

Outstanding contributions to agency services; this includes any community which provides senior services.

2000 Educator of the Year

An individual who has made outstanding contributions teaching seniors or educating others about seniors or aging.
