EANNACE HELPS SMALL BUSINESSES WORK WITH STATE
Oneida County Executive Ralph J. Eannace Jr. announced today that New Yorks Empire Development Corporation is hosting a regional workshop dedicated to informing small business owners in the Mohawk Valley on how to tap into state government contracting opportunities. Eannace said, "This is part of our outreach to over one hundred businesses that are here, encouraging them to grow here, and on to new ventures that could be attracted to the Mohawk Valley. Oneida Countys commitment, of over $4 million dollars, to economic development incentives, is being matched by a tremendous growth in State incentives and increased local bank lending commitments."
The free workshops will be held at Herkimer County Community College on Tuesday, February 15th from 7:45AM until Noon. This procurement workshop is targeted towards small businesses, with 100 or fewer employees, and will include an overview of the State bidding and payment processes. You will be a able to interact directly with State Agency contract and purchasing staff from the Office of General Services, the Office of the State Comptroller and Empire State Developments Division for Small Business.
