Picente: Youth Bureau Accepts Proposals to
Operate Programs

Oneida County Executive Anthony J. Picente Jr. today announced that the Oneida County Youth Bureau is accepting proposals from interested non-profit organizations that would like the opportunity to provide youth-oriented programs that offer delinquency prevention, recreation, and mentoring.

“The youth of our community are our future. It is important that we work diligently to empower non-profit agencies to provide services that keep kids off the streets and guide them in the direction of becoming responsible adults” County Executive Picente  said.

“Funds will be available through the New York State Office of Children and Family Services for agencies helping youth from birth through age 20,” said Social Services Commissioner Lucille Soldato, who is serving as interim Youth Bureau Director.  “Programs run by non-profit agencies which focus on positive youth development are eligible to apply for funding.”

All quality program proposals are welcome.
